An Inverness man could not remember going round to his former partner’s house because he was intoxicated.

Connor Mackay (20), of Union Street, Inverness was held in custody over the weekend.

He had been under a court bail order not to approach or contact his former partner.

But Inverness Sheriff Court was told she phoned the police when he appeared outside her home in Carnarc Crescent on September 26.

He told police he was only there to collect his clothes.

Sentence was deferred until October 26 for a background report and Mackay was again placed on bail.

Defence solicitor Clare Russell said: “He has no recollection of this."
