Inverness man assaulted ex-partner before throwing a PlayStation and running it under a tap
An Inverness man assaulted his ex-partner before throwing a PlayStation and running it under a tap.
Andrew Macdonald (41) seized the woman by her body and pushed her against the wall at an address on Drynie Avenue in an early morning argument on February 13.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank heard that the pair had got into a verbal argument at 6.30am and it escalated when the woman asked Macdonald to leave.
The woman was able to free herself from his clutch by pushing his face.
Macdonald then went into the living room and threw a PlayStation before taking it into the bathroom and running it under the tap.

He then made his way upstairs and threw paint pots that were being used for decorating onto the wall. Paint landed on the wall, bed frame and door.
Fiscal depute Victoria Silver said: “The woman called 999 and police attended.
“They could see signs of coffee stains and a broken mug.
“The complainer was physically shaking and visibly upset.”
Macdonald, of Maple Drive, Inverness, pleaded guilty to assault and wilfully or recklessly destroying or damaging property belonging to another.
Sheriff Cruickshank deferred sentencing until November 6 for background reports to be completed.
He also remanded Macdonald in custody until then.
When leaving the dock, Macdonald attempted to plead with Sheriff Cruickshank for bail and said: “But I’m going to lose my job.”
