Man due to appear in court after housebreaking in Inverness

A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with an attempted housebreaking.

The man, who has not been named, is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

The housebreaking is alleged to have occurred on March 4, in the Culduthel area of Inverness.

A police spokeswoman said: "The man has also been charged in connection with a series of break-ins to vehicles in the Culduthel and surrounding areas between Saturday February 29 and Sunday March 1."
The spokeswoman continued: "Officers are following a positive line of enquiry in relation to reported housebreakings which happened in nearby areas between Wednesday 4 and Thursday March 5."
