Sentencing has been deferred on a 45-year-old man who admitted spitting on a man in a takeaway and then behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards police.
Philip Arnold of Telford Street, Inverness, admitted at Inverness Sheriff Court both offences which occurred on September 19, 2023.
Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald decided to call for a social work background report on Arnold after defence solicitor John MacColl told the court his client was getting treatment for a drug addiction.
