Police found hundreds of graphic indecent videos of children being abused after a raid on an Ardersier man’s home.

Officers recovered various electronic devices on December 16, 2019 from the Station Drive property occupied by 23-year-old Liam Arnold.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard analysis revealed 432 videos, 294 of which were in the highest category of depravity.

A total of 1622 still images were also found but only six fell into Category A. They had been downloaded between June and December, 2019, fiscal depute Martina Eastwood said.

Arnold admitted possession of the child pornography and sentence was deferred by Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood until August 26 for a background report. Arnold was immediately placed on the sex offenders’ register.

Defence solicitor Willie Young reserved his comments until then.
