An Inverness man has been accused of sending offensive messages to city MP Drew Hendry.
James Stewart (34) appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday via video link and made no plea.
He also made no plea to a charge of culpably and recklessly coughing at a police officer or, alternatively, assaulting the officer by coughing.
Stewart was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
