M&S Inverness shoplifter - who also target premises in the Victorian Market - given bail after going ‘substance-free’ while in prison
A drug addict who has been on remand awaiting sentence for various dishonesty and drugs offences battled her problem while in prison.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that 41-year-old Nadia Neary, of Balloan Road, Inverness was now substance-free and was determined to stay that way on her release.

Her defence lawyer, Rory Gowans told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald: "She has taken significant steps to address her addiction issues and she is now completely substance-free.
"She was not the main instigator of the offences she has pleaded guilty to. She is vulnerable and was taken advantage of. My client is currently on two community payback orders so a background report will be required."
Sheriff Macdonald deferred sentence until February 7 for the report and a drug treatment and testing order assessment. She released Neary on bail.
Neary admitted stealing towels, a handbag and garden ornaments from Marks and Spencer on April 13 to the value of £111.11 and breaking into a locked cabinet in Triquerta Crafts in the Victorian Market on June 23 and stealing jewellery worth around £600.
She also pleaded guilty to possessing small amounts of cocaine and heroin in Merkinch Place, Inverness on December 1 and having a lock-knife in her possession at the same location and on the same date. Neary was remanded in custody on that matter on December 2.
