A FLEDGING Inverness luxury car hire firm whose customers have included Arabian royalty has won the title of best wedding transporter in Scotland.

D & E Prestige, launched 19 months ago, was named winner at the Confetti Awards held in Glasgow.

Amy Nicholson started the business after she enquired about booking a car for her wedding and discovered the nearest Rolls Royce for hire was in Stirling.

Based in Lotland Street, she started with a Rolls Royce Phantom and has since acquired a BMW Series 7 Extra Long, a Range Rover Vogue and new seven-seater V Class Mercedes.

“It’s a pleasant shock to win the Scottish title the very first time we entered but I’m now looking to celebrate by adding a second Rolls to our fleet later this year,” said Ms Nicholson who is also office manager of D & E Coaches, started by parents Donald and Elizabeth Mathieson.

As well as wedding couples, D & E Prestige has transported members of an Arabian Royal Family from the airport to their shooting estate and VIPs visiting the Talisker Distillery on Skye.
