Lunch for two at Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill is among the auction lots up for grabs to raise funds for Scotland’s first multi-purpose centre for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The prize, which also includes a tour of the kitchen plus a West End show, is the first one to be revealed for the forthcoming coming Haven Highland Hooley.

The event, at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on September 2, will raise money for the £4.1 million Haven Centre which is being built at Smithton.

The complex will comprise three two-bedroom respite flats for young adults up to the age of 30, an indoor specialist play centre with childcare facilities, a café, meeting spaces and outdoor garden.

The Haven Highland Hooley, hosted by Courier columnist Nicky Marr, will include live music, dancing and food.

The auction prize, featuring a three-course lunch at the The Savoy in the 1920s dining rooms, offers a memorable day-long experience. It will also include a tour of the kitchen to meet the chefs and will conclude with the choice of a West End show.

More auction prizes will be revealed soon.

The Haven Centre project is being led by the Elsie Normington Foundation. Building work, which is expected to last about 12 months, began in March.
