‘Love Inverness’ app launched to provide central hub for events, transport and exclusive offers
Inverness BID has launched a new ‘Love Inverness’ app, which is now available to download for free on the app store.
BID deputy manager Margaret Laws said: “The Love Inverness app is designed to strengthen the connections within our community by bringing people together and providing a central hub for both locals and visitors.

“It offers everything people need in one place, from exclusive offers and event listings to real-time transport updates.
“Businesses, charities, community groups and other organisations can also engage directly through their digital hub page and dashboard, making it easier to share their unique content, promote their activities and events which keeps us all in the know as to what is happening around our city.
“In the coming months we will be adding more content with the news section able to host hyperlocal news and it is great to have a community space for us all to enjoy.”
Marcus Chidgey, co-founder of Loqiva, the app's developer, added: “We are delighted to be working with Inverness BID to launch and support the Love Inverness app. It’s a great tool for people to explore everything Inverness has to offer and for people to enjoy unique offers and content.
“The app will be subject to ongoing development, and will continue to grow in the coming months as we have plans to add even more organisations and features It’s been a pleasure working with Inverness BID and we just hope you enjoy this new resource.”
To celebrate the launch, Inverness BID has set a City Centre BID Bauble Challenge. Over the next three weeks, app users will be given clues to help find one of 12 Christmas baubles hidden around the city centre to win a £50 Inverness City Centre Gift Card.
Margaret added: "The BID Bauble Hunt is a wonderful way to bring some fun to the city centre.
“We are really pleased to provide a platform that supports our local businesses, the third sector and engages visitors and residents alike. We would encourage everyone to download the app to discover what our fantastic city has to offer."
City centre businesses and organisations in the BID area can sign up by contacting the BID team. Businesses and organisations outside the BID area will be able to join and subscribe in the new year.
