Long time friends turned lovers tie the the knot at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival

It was the third time lucky for Nairn newlyweds Stuart and Helen Lucas on the final day of Belladrum as they finally got married in the chapel on the festival grounds.
They had the wedding planned for the festival in 2020 but it was postponed due to Covid-19.

Howveer, the couple did take advantage of the covid related setbacks. Initially, they were going to glamp for the event but are now staying at Bunchrew House Hotel getting five star treatment.

This will be their ninth year together, but the couple who were friends before said 'they always knew' they would end up together.

Helen has been coming to Belladrum since its beginning, and said she always knew she wanted to get married at the festival.

She wore a wonderful gown with a beautiful bouquet and Converse for comfort, with Mr Lucas in a kilt with his family's Irish tartan.

They were joined by sisters, kids, parents and friends to watch the special ceremony.

They made their way to see Dreadzone after the ceremony to celebrate.

Stuart said he was excited to "just get in and enjoy the festival really" and Helen said it "is the strangest Bella ever"!
