Logie Steading Christmas market named among top 7 UK boutique events
A Christmas market south-east of Nairn has been named among seven top “boutique markets” in the UK by The Times.
The team at Logie Steading was pleased to feature among other small craft festive markets from across the country, as they were praised for their effort in championing local businesses and craftspeople.
The article said that the market - which will run again the first weekend of December - “is a quaint shopping heaven with acres of Highland beauty all around.
“Stalls champion Scottish small businesses and craftspeople, with more than 50 vendors selling jewellery, leather goods, ceramics, homeware made from recycled whisky barrels and homemade goodies from honey to oatcakes and fudge.
“Less festive but equally appealing are the farm shop, bookshop and lovely river walk.”
While Logie Steading is already home to a number of local makers and retailers, the christmas market brings together a whole host of other makers, food producers and vendors from across Moray and the north east.
Assistant manager, Gill Pearson said: “We are delighted to be featured in this national list and for our passion for supporting small, local businesses to be highlighted.
“We love opening up the Steading to a wide range of crafts people, artisans, producers and makers throughout the year at our summer markets, but Christmas is by far our biggest annual celebration of shopping local.
“There is a huge amount of talent and skill in this part of the world, we feel it’s important to not only support these small businesses, but to celebrate them too.
“A visit to Logie Steading is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit while supporting small, local businesses this Christmas.”
