Live election coverage of today’s recount in Dingwall after chaos at Highland ballot

The counting is set to restart at 10.30am today in the UK general election 2024 count for the Inverness, Skye and West Ross-shire seat.

Yesterday, Lib Dem Jamie Stone secured a massive 10,000-vote majority in the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross area, following a count in Dingwall.

But Inverness, Skye and West Ross-shire was hit by major problems causing the count to be suspended until today, following a count and a recount.
