Inverness institution Lauders Bar has picked up an award for the best three years of business in its history.

Owner Stonegate Group named the pub the best out of the 12 in its stable between Edinburgh and the Highland capital.

The Church Street tavern is thought to be one of the oldest in the Highlands.

General manager Peter Carroll said: “Being named best pub in the area by Stonegate Group is such an honour. I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of my fantastic team, who day in, day out make Lauders a fantastic venue for our guests to enjoy.

“A lot of hard work is put in to make sure that both throughout the day and in the evenings, everybody that visits has the best time possible.

“Our late-night opening periods until 3am every Friday and Saturday are amazing and have never been so busy.”
