A concerned neighbour in Kinmylies is warning cat owners to beware of youngsters intent on collaring their kitties.

The woman, who raised the alert on the Facebook page Neighbourhood Watch Inverness, claimed two 10-year-old schoolgirls were spotted with collars and a pink extendable lead “trying to take" the pets, including her neighbour's cat.

She claimed the girls had twice been confronted on time, but added: “Please be vigilant and mind your moggies!”
