A NORTH business will give away free cups of coffee in exchange for donations to Highland Hospice in a bid to encourage people to be kinder to each other.

From Monday – national Random Acts of Kindness Day – until February 29, Drumnadrochit-based Cobbs will be offering a free coffee voucher with every purchase, while being asked to make a donation and/or pass the voucher on and keep the kind gesture going.

Hospice head of fundraising Andrew Leaver said: “It is a fantastic idea, and we really hope that people from all over the Highlands will engage in brightening each other’s lives in aid of their local hospice.”

The campaign will run throughout Cobbs’ sites in Scotland with vouchers being valid until the end of April 2020. The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow and St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh will also benefit.

Fraser Campbell, managing director of Cobbs said: “We are delighted to put this initiative to good use as a fundraiser for Highland Hospice and the other hospices.”
