The owners of a beloved Inverness café announced that another popular city business owner will be taking over the venue.

Owners of Am Bothan on Southside Road in Crown, Anne Marie and Dave McLeod announced earlier this month their decision to give up the café to focus on their other two businesses, Hampers and Champers in and McLeod’s Fish & Chips.

However they took on social media today to announce that Alison MacKintosh from smoothie bar JuicyNess will be taking over the helm of the premises.

In the post they said: "Delighted to share our news with you!

"Ali from JuicyNess is taking over at Southside Road.

"Follow her page for all the updates and when she’ll open.

"Wishing her all the luck in the world, we know she’s going to smash it."
