The Fratellis will headline at MacMoray Festival 2026 in Elgin’s Cooper Park
One of the most popular Scottish rock bands of the 21st century will perform at MacMoray Festival in 2026.
The Fratellis, singers of Chelsea Dagger and Henrietta, will headline Saturday evening at the event, which will take place at Cooper Park in Elgin on May 2-3.
The trio, formed in Glasgow in 2005, consists of Jon, Barry and Mince Fratelli (John Lawler, Barry Wallace and Gordon McRory).
A year after forming, the group released the album Costello Music, which stormed to number two in the UK charts.
The Fratellis are going to put on a “special show” in Elgin according to MacMoray organiser Andy Macdonald, which he said will consist of nine other backing musicians on stage.
“It’s going to be absolutely mental,” he added.
“I have always wanted The Fratellis to perform at MacMoray and to have them finally coming is a major dream come true.
“MacMoray has grown tremendously popular in the last few months, and we are officially number one in the UK for our interactive fan base, storming ahead of any other festival big or small.
“We are getting major recognition now and it’s the festival that all musicians want to perform at.
“I have to pinch myself as it’s hard to believe just how popular we are becoming - and it’s all thanks to the MacMorians”
Performing alongside The Fratellis on Saturday, May 2, at MacMoray are RuMac, Punk Rock Factory and George Bowie.
Cammy Barnes, 2 Unlimited and East 17 are performing on the Sunday.
