Inverness veterinary practice worker left with life-changing injuries after being hit by lorry thanks well-wishers

A veterinary practice worker left with life-changing injuries following an accident in Inverness last month has thanked well-wishers for their kind messages.

Erica Campbell was was walking along Southside Road in the Crown district when she was hit by a white Mercedes lorry.

She was taken initially taken to Raigmore Hospital but later transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Mrs Campbell (57), a client services assistant at Crown Vets in Argyle Street, is understood to be making good progress.

A social media post by the practice stated: "Our mother-daughter duo, Erica and Jo, would like to thank all our lovely clients for their well wishes after Erica's accident in Crown.

"The kindness shown by everyone has been overwhelming.

"Erica has been making progress each day and is looking forward to being reunited with her family as soon as circumstances allow."
