Police are trying to trace a young man missing from Inverness.

Scott Shearer, 17, was last seen at around 5pm on Wednesday this week as he was dropped off at the Co-op on Telford Street to meet a friend.

Mr Shearer was to be collected at 6.45pm that evening, but did not show up.

He is described as being around 5ft 8 inches tall, with a slim build and short dark hair. When last seen, he was wearing a grey Armani zip-up soft shell type jacket, black Nike joggers and black Vapor Max trainers.

Dingwall police sergeant John Beverly said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace him.

“Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries and I would appeal to anyone with any information which could assist us to come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2876 of 30 March, 2022.
