1. Can you tell us about the competition Inverness Taxis is running this festive season?

“We wanted to say thank you to our customers and support our wider community this festive season, so every Friday until Christmas, we will be giving away three £120 Inverness City Centre Gift Cards. When you book a taxi at our Church Street office, as well as a warm welcome and a chance to escape the cold, you’ll be entered into that week’s prize draw. It’s our way of giving back, spreading some extra festive cheer, and making the season a little brighter. Our winners so far have been delighted.”

2. What are the benefits of supporting the Inverness City Centre Gift Card?

“With over 170 participating businesses across all sectors, the Inverness City Centre Gift Card offers something for everyone, making it the perfect gift choice this Christmas—especially if you’re not sure what to buy. We’ve all received gifts that we’ll never use! By choosing local and offering such great variety, we support local businesses, sustain jobs, and keep spending within our city. For our businesses, this has a really positive impact, so it’s a win-win for everyone.”

3. How do people buy a Gift Card?

You can visit the Gift Card kiosk in the Victorian Market which is open every day until Christmas, 10am – 3pm on weekdays and 11am – 4pm on weekends. You can also buy a digital card or physical card via the website www.invernessgiftcard.com. Corporate orders are also an ideal way for businesses and organisations to support local and give a gift that is suitable for all.

4. Do you have any advice on how people can enjoy the festive season safely?

“It’s great to see the Winter Operation Respect initiative return for the Christmas season, this is a partnership of many organisations including Police Scotland, Highland Council, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service, NHS Highland and many others.

Party goers can make their travel even easier by downloading the SafeKab app, ensuring fast and reliable taxi bookings across the city and for those who might prefer using shank’s pony – the SafeWalk feature is free to use but gives added peace of mind to parents and loved ones that your journey home is safe.”
