Inverness set for 24-hour crazy golf fundraiser in aid of local charity
A 24-hour Golf-A-Thon to raise funds for charity is to be held at Inverness Crazy Golf this weekend.
The fundraising event, organised by crazy golf course owner Gus MacDonald, will start at 5pm on Saturday and run until Sunday — with all money raised going towards Cash for Kids.
Mr MacDonald will be playing the sport for 24 hours straight, and is inviting the local community to join him.
Teams of four can select a one hour slot during the event, and are asked to raise at least £100 to support the cause.
Mr MacDonald is also holding a huge raffle to boost his fundraising efforts, with prizes on offer including a £50 Slaters voucher, a £50 voucher for the Cafe 1 restaurant in Inverness, a family pass to any Inverness Caley Thistle game and more.
Mr MacDonald also organised a similar fundraising event last year, which raised £10,000.
The event was a huge succes with 38 teams taking part, and 24 local charities benefiting.
Mr MacDonald said: “We thought it was a brilliant event - everyone seemed to have an excellent time”.
