Inverness secondary school pupils will stay at home today after heavy snow hit classes at some schools.

An early morning message to parents from Inverness High School said it would remain closed throughout the day “due to adverse weather”.

Culloden Academy is also to stay closed for the same reason.

Cradlehall Primary School to the east of the city will delay opening until 10 am.

We will update this story throughout the day should other closures or altered arrangements be announced.
