Police in Inverness have issued an invitation to the public to join in a "Coffee with a Cop" event.

The community policing team is staging the event at Costa Coffee in the Inshes Retail Park tomorrow between 5pm and 6pm.

The invitation states: "This is an opportunity for people to come and chat with local officers who work in their community and discuss policing issues and concerns they have.

"We want to work with communities to make them better and safer places to live in and work in.

"Due to the nature of our job, we may have to leave at short notice and your understanding of this is greatly appreciated.

"We look forward to seeing you there."
