It comes as Moray Firth beauty spots such as Findlater Castle near Cullen and the Culbin Forest near Forres were reported to have been chosen as filming locations.

The ship, which was spotted at Buckie Harbour on Monday and near the Kessock Bridge yesterday, is the the world’s largest Viking boat.

Filming for The Odyssey began in February in Morocco and has also been taking place in Greece and Sicily, and the movie is expected to be released in July 2026.
