You will get a warm welcome in Inverness and the Highlands according to the latest travel awards from Booking.com

Inverness has been named as one of the top 10 most welcoming places in the UK to visit.

In addition the UK has been judged as one of the best countries for incredible customer service, according to the results of the Traveller Review Awards 2020.

Travel website Booking.com announced the winners of a range of categories in the eighth traveller review awards.

Inverness was ranked alongside: Douglas, Isle of Man; Stirling; Pitlochry; Blackpool; Stornoway; Weston-super-Mare; Portree; Glastonbury and Enniskillen.

Arjan Dijk, the chief marketing officer for Booking.com, said: "On our mission is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, we are proud to have a record number of our partners across the travel industry receiving consistently great reviews and representing the best of the best in hospitality around the globe."
