Inverness mum who intended to deal drugs given unpaid work

An Inverness mum who intended to deal drugs has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Chloe Langley (24) appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and was found to have had 144g of cannabis in her home alongside 2.5g of cannabis resin and £879.50 in cash.

Her phone was seized by police and she was found to have been involved in the supply of the Class B drug.

Langley, of Mackay Road, Inverness pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and being in possession of cannabis resin between June 3 of last year and June 20.

Sheriff Robert Frazer ordered her to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work as an alternative to jail.

Langley’s co-accused Darren Stewart and Callum Hadley were sentenced at a previous date.

Sheriff Robert Frazer said of Langley: “You got yourself sucked into a serious situation and I accept you are not the main actor.”
