Inverness Military Wives Choir wowed cinema-goers at Vue cinema ahead of a preview screening of the new Military Wives film which will be officially launched next month.

They will choir sang Wherever You Are as well as one of the songs from the new film in the cinema foyer.

Barry Laird, general manager at Vue Inverness, said: “We were delighted to welcome our local Military Wives choir to mark a night of preview screenings at Vue.

“Our customers loved their performance and it was a very special way to welcome them to the first screening.

“We look forward to the film officially launching at Vue Inverness on March 6.”

Inspired by the global phenomenon of military wives choirs, and starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan, the film follows the story of a group of women who come together as their partners serve in Afghanistan.

Together they form the very first military wives choir, helping each other through some of life's most difficult moments and also becoming a media sensation and global movement.

Military Wives Choirs has 74 groups across the UK and in British military bases abroad. The Inverness group is based at Wimberley Way Community Centre. Anyone with a military connection can join.
