A 30-YEAR-OLD man who assaulted two women in an Inverness property was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid community work.
Neil Macdonald, of Benula Road, pleaded guilty to the offence committed on June 27, 2020.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard the women were drinking at a nearby house and Macdonald went there. He attempted to punch and attempted to strike one woman with an iron.
The court was told the other woman intervened, but Macdonald grabbed her in the throat area and pushed her against a door.
Defence solicitor Duncan Henderson said: “Much of his offending is when he has been drinking.”
