Inverness is Scotland's fastest growing city

Inverness has been declared as Scotland's fastest growing city due to a 15 per cent growth in population since 2001.

Scottish Cities Alliance – which is an alliance of the seven cities and Scottish Government – said key sectors include energy, tourism, life sciences, construction, public sector, financial and business services.

It stated the population is 61,235.
