Inverness hit by power cut with around 1500 SSEN customers affected





Around 1500 houses and businesses in Inverness were hit by a power cut earlier today.

SSEN were alerted of issues affecting Inverness city centre shortly after 1.30pm today.

Power was restored in around half an hour.

An SSEN Distribution spokesperson said: “Our Inverness-based teams responded to reports of a power outage shortly after half-past one this lunchtime.

“Supplies were rapidly restored to around 1,500 customers less than half an hour later. We’d like to thank customers for their patience while we did this safely and quickly.”
