Gym300 in Inverness welcomed body builders Ace Roscoe Sanchez and Paul Thomson to record the first episode of a new Amazon Prime series.

UK Iron: Gym Tour sees the two men travelling around the UK’s best independent gyms, with the first episode concentrating on Scotland before the series moves south.

The owner of Gym300, based in Carsegate Industrial Estate, Tom Ashmole, said he was delighted that his gym had been selected to feature in the series.

“It’s tremendous, I think it’s a very good thing for us,” he said.

“My wife and I have run the gym for five-and-a-half years and we put a lot of effort in doing something good for the community, as well as getting involved in charity initiatives.

“It’s great to see the commitment recognised in this way.”

He added: “We had a very good time with the guys. When it comes to body building they know what they are talking about.

“There was a little challenge between the two of them and it was a good laugh. Their workout went well and they really liked the equipment and the gym.

“We hope to see them again soon.”

The new series is due to be broadcast from the end of next month.
