A special box of sought-after ice creams is being auctioned by an Inverness food shop to raise funds for charity.

Kasia Pogo, who owns Saffron Oriental Food Shop in Lombard Street, is inviting bids for a selection pack of Little Moons for the Special Needs Action Project (Snap) which helps to improve the lives of children and young adults with additional support needs in the Inverness area.

Sales of the treat – a combination of traditional Japanese rice cake, mochi and ice cream – have been phenomenal especially among millions of TikTok users, who have been sharing videos of people eating and buying the snacks.

The selection pack being auctioned by Miss Pogo was donated by Little Moons and contains different flavours including coconut, vanilla, chocolate and pistachio.

Bidding on the shop's social media page started at £50 but is already up to £100.

The auction will close on Saturday May 1.

It is not the first time, Miss Pogo has raised money for Snap. In February, she auctioned her last box of mango-flavoured Little Moons to raise £50 – almost 10 times the retail price – for the charity.

Last month, eager fans queued for hours outside the shop after hearing a delivery of the bite-sized treats was due.

Miss Pogo said the next Little Moons delivery to the shop might not be until June so the auction was one way for the highest bidder to get hold of the tasty treat while helping a worthy cause.
