AN Inverness funeral director has presented a cheque to a charity supporting families of children with disabilities.

John Fraser and Son has donated £500 to the Inverness-based Special Needs Action Project (SNAP), the money coming from a percentage of sales of memorials sold by the firm.

A spokeswoman for the undertaker said: “We were delighted to welcome Dawn Walker from SNAP Inverness to our memorial garden.

“During the months of January and February we were doing our bit to

fundraise for this fantastic local charity, by donating £30 from the sale of each memorial.

“Our memorial craftsman Drew Wheeler, who has been with us for 28 years, presented Dawn with a cheque for £500.”

SNAP exists to improve the lives of young people with additional needs by providing social experiences, building self-esteem and encouraging independence.

It runs weekly groups and holiday clubs for children and young adults.
