Inverness firefighters are swapping their ladders and hoses for buckets and sponges in support of a good cause.

On Saturday, May 17, Inverness Community Fire Station will host a charity car wash to raise funds for The Firefighters Charity and Lucky2BHere.

The event will take place at the Fire Station on Harbour Road, running from 1pm to 4pm, and the crew are calling for residents and businesses to come along and get their vehicles washed and support two fantastic charities.

The Fire Fighters Charity supports all serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel, their dependants and other eligible members of the UK fire services community, empowering them to live healthier and happier.

Lucky2BHere is a Scottish charity founded by Ross Cowie in 2009, dedicated to providing public access defibrillators (PADs) and emergency life support (ELS) training to communities across Scotland. The organization's goals are to empower communities to respond to life-threatening incidents, cooperate with various stakeholders, and improve emergency preparedness.
