Inverness event will provide platform for businesses to engage directly with Highland Council’s leadership team

An upcoming business breakfast will focus on public and private sectors working together to drive economic success in the Highlands.

Hosted by Inverness Chamber of Commerce on March 12 at the Kingsmills Hotel the event will provide a platform for businesses to engage directly with The Highland Council’s leadership, ensuring that their voices are heard in shaping policies and priorities.

Derek Brown, chief executive of The Highland Council will outline the local authority’s vision for the year ahead, followed by a Q&A session led by Colin Marr, chief executive of Inverness Chamber of Commerce, offering business leaders the chance to raise issues, share insights, and explore ways to work together for the wider good of the region.

Ahead of the event, Derek Brown, chief executive of The Highland Council said: “There are so many major economic opportunities on the horizon for the Highlands. There are also key challenges before us that we need to address to make sure that we are fully prepared to embrace these opportunities.

“Collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial to achieving long-term success for current and future residents.

“This event is a significant opportunity to share plans and ideas, continue our work to build relationships, and ensure we work effectively together to deliver sustainable growth across the Highland area.”

Colin Marr, chief executive of Inverness Chamber of Commerce, reinforced the Chamber’s commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue: “Businesses are the driving force behind our regional economy, and it’s crucial that they are actively engaged in discussions about Highland Council’s priorities.
