Inverness crash at known accident blackspot; man taken to Raigmore Hospital ‘as precaution’ following crash, says Police Scotland
Emergency services have attended a two-vehicle crash at a notorious accident blackspot in Inverness.
Two cars collided at the junction between Culloden Road and Tower Road around lunchtime on Thursday.
Police attended the scene and traffic built up in the area for a time.
The collision involved a silver Hyundai and a darker/brown hatchback.
There was no initial word as to whether there were any injuries.
Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service were approached for more information.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.15pm on Thursday, to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Tower Road, Inverness.
“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to Raigmore Hospital as a precaution.
“Vehicle recovery was arranged.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was not called out to the scene.
The scene of the crash is a well-known accident blackspot and work was carried out just last month to upgrade the traffic lights and layout in a bid to improve its safety.
The cause of this latest crash is not known.
