An Inverness charity-run care home is hosting a fundraising open day on Saturday.

The fun-filled event is open to everyone and will take place on June 15 at Isobel Fraser Care Home in Mayfield Road.

Taking place from 1.30pm to 4pm there will be something for everyone with carnival games such as coconut shy, hook a duck, a raffle, kids area, performers and a BBQ.

Senior carer Kara Mackay said: “Isobel Fraser is the only charity-run care home in Inverness and we’ve been going since 1938.

“We just want people to know what we do and that’s why our event is open to everyone. All the money we fundraise is for activities for the residents and goes towards the minibus we use each week.

“We held an event last year and there was a big community feel to it. We hope the same for this year’s event! Everyone is welcome.”
