An Inverness charity cafe has been the target of vandalism.

Cafe 1668 on Church Street had its window smashed over the weekend.

Cafe manager, Val Cooper said: “As a charity, we are extremely saddened to have found our windows broken.

"We operate primarily to serve those in need in Inverness, providing free meals three days a week.

"We have reported this incident to Police Scotland."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.50am on Monday, November 18, we received a report of damage to the window of a premises on Church Street, Inverness.

“The damage is believed to have happened between 4pm on Friday, November 15 and 8am on Monday, November 18.

“Enquiries are at an early stage."
