Highview House Care Home in Scorguie, Inverness, passed a recent inspection by the Care Inspectorate with an overall “very good” rating after being praised for a responsive, kind, warm, supportive and well-led service.

The Care Inspectorate visited the home unannounced between September 30 and October 3, and the home, run by the award-winning Barchester Healthcare, was rated as “very good” overall.

The inspectors spoke with staff, residents and family members, and found that there were “significant strengths” in the quality of care provided.

The report stated: “Highview House had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. People appeared comfortable, relaxed and were engaging with staff and their peers throughout the inspection.”

The report continued by stating “There were good working relationships between care and nursing staff, seniors and management and this meant people benefited from a warm atmosphere with a responsive management team who were passionate about providing high quality care”.

Elsbeth Russell, General Manager at Highview House since 2018, said: “We are delighted that Highview was rated ‘Very Good’ overall following the Care Inspectorate’s most recent inspection. The team at Highview always strives to provide the best possible quality care for everyone who lives here.”

To thank the teams for their hard work in contributing to the rating, each member of staff was presented with a £100 voucher.
