Nairn Wool Shop and The Woolly Sheep in Inverness both shortlisted for Best Wool shop in Scotland a British Knitting and Crochet Award

A Nairn and an Inverness shop have been selected among the finalists for a prestigious industry award.

Nairn Wool Shop and The Woolly Sheep in Inverness are both in the run up for best local independent retailer at the British Knitting and Crochet Awards.

The Nairn shop owners, Marie Mathews and Adam Thompson, posted on Facebook: "We are very happy and surprised to be shortlisted for Best Wool Shop in Scotland with the British Knitting and Crochet Awards!

"We always appreciate the support and kind words from our customers and would love your vote again! You can click the link below or fill out at a form in the shop."

The Wolly Sheep was the winner of the title in 2021 and the Nairn Wool shop was Highly commended in 2020.

They are facing competition from The Yarn Cake, Glasgow, The Crafty Wee Pie, Stirling and Ginger Twist Studio, Edinburgh.
