The UK's international showcase for offshore wind energy, Global Offshore Wind 2020, will go ahead online.
Running from October 28 to 30, the three day event will still bring together more than 70 international exhibitors, and offer an extensive conference programme with industry leading speakers.
More than 4000 participants are expected to log on to Global Offshore Wind 2020, which will also provide an opportunity to view the presentations of the 400 plus speakers on demand.
The event also hopes to inspire young people with the possibilities of the sector with its own dedicated youth fair.
Isabel DiVanna, commercial and customer experience executive director for event organiser RenewableUK, commented: “We are really excited to deliver this event in a new format for 2020. We appreciate that it’s not the same as our usual event, but given the current situation, it provides a fantastic opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in the new world of offshore wind. We have the same exceptional standard of speakers that we’ve always had, as well as the chance to network with both experts in the field and fellow delegates.
"The conference programme will cover all the hot topics in the industry right now, including economic recovery and investment, the viability of net zero and the future of business in the sector. Many of the major companies in the field will be in attendance as well, so you can ask questions and join the conversations.”
