YOUNGSTERS in Beauly have kicked off their summer holidays in style with a teddy bears’ picnic.

Youngsters from the village enjoyed a wander in the woodland next to Braeview Park, called Cnoc-Na-Rath, ahead of the annual Beauly Gala.

They were entertained by a number of children’s characters including Snow White and Buzz Lightyear.

Organisers estimated more than 50 children took part and when they arrived back at the park they enjoyed some tasty picnic goodies.

Prizes were given to the teddy bears in a variety of categories including the best dressed and the cuddliest. After they were fed, the children enjoyed activities including an assault course, games and dancing.
