SPIRIT-lovers eager to sample a range of new and lesser-known products enjoyed themselves at the Bogbain Gin and Whisky Festival near Inverness.

Bogbain director Jo MacGregor said it was a great day and everyone enjoyed sampling new drinks, as well as the musical entertainment.

“It went very well,” she said. “It was well attended, with nearly 300 people here for the day.”

She said visitors included many from overseas, from New Zealand, Canada and Scandinavia.

“We have received great feedback from the visitors and of course the producers,” she said.

“Some of the brands being sampled were being tasted for the first time by the public.

“We concentrate of getting new brands from the smaller distilleries.

“As well as sampling the drinks the guests were entertained by pianist and singer Gerry Cougan.”
