A NEW charity group has got off to a super start with dozens of caped crusaders turning out for its launch.

This is Me Highland, which aims to help children with neurological disorders and their carers, held a Superhero Launch Party at Grebe Hall in Drakies last weekend.

Committee member Lindsay Fulton, of Cauldeen Road, Inverness, said: “It went brilliantly. We had 37 children there altogether.”

While at the moment the majority of children involved with the group are pupils at Drummond School in Inverness, which caters for youngsters with additional support needs, organisers are keen to stress it is open to all.

As well as providing advice and support for carers, there are plans for a range of activities for youngsters including strawberry picking and days out in the park.

The charity is working with organisations such as Inverness Angling Club for other events as well.
