LOVERS OF live music and craft beer were both out in force at the Black Isle Brewery last weekend as the venue played host to the latest annual Jocktoberfest shindig.

An eclectic mix of solo singers, duos and bands took to the event’s two stages last Friday and Saturday to keep the crowds entertained.

Performers at the intimate, family-friendly music festival close to Munlochy over Friday and Saturday, included Root System, The Dihydro, Skidaddle and Gleadhraich. There were also DJ dance music sets from Karawane and Monkey Magic.

While the late summer weather was mostly good anyway even a touch of rain could not do much to dampen the spirits of revellers over the course of the weekend.

Many wholeheartedly embraced this year’s Under the Sea theme for the party, by donning a range of colourful and eye-catching costumes for the occasion.

Keeping people going with a range of organic beers and tasty food the event also did its bit for charity as well.

While children aged under 13 were admitted free a total of £1.50 from every adult ticket sold for the event was donated to the local environmental group Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
