Moray Cup to make comeback thanks to Deveron Direct

An iconic north-east fizzy drink is set to make a comeback after more than half a decade off the shelves.

Moray Cup, the cult favourite red “fruit flavoured” drink, was discontinued in 2017.

Manufacturers Cott Beverages said at the time that it was no longer viable to produce the drink.

The decision sparked outcry across social media.

But wholesalers Deveron Direct, based in Macduff, announced on Facebook that they would be bringing the drink back exclusively.

However, it will return as a “limited edition”.

The firm’s post said: “We are delighted to announce that Moray Cup is making a return, exclusively at Deveron Direct.

“After all of the wait and excitement, we hope this is the news you’ve been longing for.”

It is still unknown when the drink will be available to buy.

But Deveron Direct say further announcements and details on how to get your hands on the drink will be made in due course.
