Sentence has been deferred for a psychiatric report on a 40-year-old sex offender after he twice failed to comply with registration requirements.

David Geddes, of Hawthorn Drive, Inverness had previously admitted the two offences plus a charge of threatening behaviour towards two detective constables who had gone to check on him on October 5 this year.

Sheriff Matheson deferred sentence again until January 16 for a psychiatric report.
