Jamie Macdonald shouted at them as he escaped outside a property in Inverness's Anderson Street just hours after the prohibition was imposed: "Yes, you are right, I have had a drink."

The 28 year old, of MacSween Drive, Stornoway, was quickly arrested and was remanded in custody for a background report.

He reappeared at Inverness Sheriff Court where the bail restriction was imposed on September 20 this year and admitted the breach.

Defending, David Patterson told Sheriff David Harvie: "He is a recovering alcoholic and has been on a slippery slope,"

MacDonald was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid community work.
