THE hunt for a new NHS Highland chairperson has started again.

The health board has released an almost identical press release to one that was issued in April, when a previous search got under way.

Professor Boyd Robertson was appointed as interim chairman of the health board in February after former incumbent David Alston resigned in the wake of claims of bullying within the organisation.

The only addition to previous comments about the search from NHS Highland chief executive Iain Stewart are: “Most importantly of all, we are working to create an inclusive new workplace culture at NHS Highland which we call Fit for the Future and our new chair will have a key part to play in helping to guide its implementation.”

The part-time post requires a commitment of at least three days per week for a remuneration of £31,149.

Applications must be made before noon on November 1.
